James River rode the arm and bat of Tyler Duke, as they blanked Covington, 6-0, in a Pioneer District baseball encounter Thursday evening in Buchanan.

Duke hurled a complete-game four-hitter, striking out 12 , hitting one and walking none to get the win on the mound for the Knights (9-5, 4-1 PD). He also helped his own cause with a three-run homer.

Ryan Hepler also added a two-run homer for James River.

Michael Myers and Cody Pruitt each doubled for the Cougars (7-4. 3-1 PD).
