In a battle of county rivals, James River knocked off Lord Botetourt 60-57 in non-district boy's basketball action Friday night in Buchanan.

The Cavaliers (2-4), who led 32-29 at the half, saw the Knights (2-4) methodically come back in the second half to pull out the three-point win.

Justin Goode led Lord Botetourt with 17 points and Zack Kelley added 11 points.

John Bennett led James River with a game-high 19 points. Caleb Lythgoe tossed in 12 points and J.T. Sandidge finished with 11 points.
