James River jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, as the Knights rode away with a 54-25 Pioneer District girls' basketball win Thursday night in Buchanan.

The Knights (14-3, 5-1), who led 27-10 at the half, continued to dominate in the second half to claim the 29-point home win.

Whitney Lewis paced Parry McCluer (1-16, 1-5 ) with 14 points.

Ashley King led James River with a game-high 20 points and Kaye Woods finished with 12 points.
