Parry McCluer opened its season by downing Eastern Montgomery 11-3 in a non-district baseball contest played Monday afternoon in Elliston. The game was called after six innings due to darkness.

Keenan Martin, not only picked up the win on the mound for the Fighting Blues (1-0) with five strikeouts, he also led the teamwith a 2-for-4 showing at the plate, both doubles.

Brian Deare led the Mustangs with a 2-for-2 effort, with two singles and a run scored.
