Parry McCluer opened up its 2010 season with a nine-stroke win over James River in the first Pioneer District mini-tournament of the season Tuesday in a Par 36 (nine holes) match at the Lower Cascades in Hot Springs.
The Fighting Blues finished with a team score of 167, followed by James River (176), Bath County (186), Highland (203) and Covngton (221).
Cory Watts of James River claimed medalist honors with a round of 37.
