In a low-scoring affair, Parry McCluer claimed a 39-29 Pioneer District boys' basketball win over James River Wednesday night in Buchanan.
The Blues (7-3, 1-0) staked out to a 16-12 halftime lead and continued to have the upper-hand in the second half, as they calimed the 10-point road win.
Zach Stinnett led Parry McCluer with a game-high 19 points.
