Blacksburg claimed a 2-0 River Ridge District girls' soccer win over visiting Cave Spring to claim the regular season title Friday night.

Kim Shaver gave the Bruins (15-0, 9-0 RRD) a 1-0 lead at the 20 minute mark and Adrian Newcomb scored in the 46th minute to account for the scoring. Kat Everett and Hayley Long added an assist each.

Anika Marand tallied one save in the shutout for Blacksburg.

Haley Mitchell recorded five saves for the Knights (7-7, 5-3 RRD).
