Blacksburg handed Tazewell its 14th-straight loss, as the Bruins defeated the Bulldogs 27-8 for its first win of the season Friday night in Tazewell.
The Bruins (1-2) took a 7-0 lead in the opening quarter on a 9-yard touchdown run by Will Ingram and Carson Wise converted the PAT at the 1:33 mark.
Ingram would score again, this time from 7-yards out and Wise's PAT to make it 14-0 with 9:10 left in the second quarter.
Blacksburg continued to dominate throughout the third quarter, as Kaleb Bohrnstedt connected with Josh Hefta on a 20-yard scoring strike and a 36-yard field goal by Wise at the 8:05 mark to extend the Bruins lead to 24-0.
The Bulldogs (0-3) finally found paydirt at the 11:02 mark of the fourth quarter when McCann hooked up Jordan on a 20-yard pass and the two-point conversion play made it 24-8. Wise closed out the Bruins scoring with 4:57 left in the game when he nailed a 31-yard field goal to make the final 27-8.
Blacksburg, who had 302 yards on offense, was led by Will Ingram's 118-yards and Kaleb Bohrnstedt completed 9-of-16 passes for 164 yards.
Tazewell, who tallied 115 yards of offense, was led by Jacob McReynolds who carried the ball 11 times for 59 yards.
