Jake Mondy, a member of the Blacksburg High School golf team, has made a verbal commitment to continue playing golf at Auburn University once he graduates.

Mondy, a junior, who finished third in the Group AA state tournament last year and helped the Bruins to a runner-up finish, turned down scholarship offers from Virginia Tech, UVA, Virginia Commonwealth and Louisville.
