Terrence Travis ran for 164 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns, as he led Blacksburg to 30-7 non-distict football win over visiting Giles Friday night.

The Bruins (1-0) jumped out to a 7-0 lead on a 27-yard run by Ttavis.

The Spartans (0-1) would tie the game in the second quarter on a 33-yard gallop by Brad Kessinger. A 43-yard run by Geinda Smith would give Blacksburg a 14-7 lead at the half.

The Bruins would take control in the second half. A 34-yard field goal by Wise, along with an 11-yard run by Travis and a 76-yard interception by Jordan Porter would give Blacksburg the 30-7 victory.

Blacksburg, who had 264 yards rushing, was led by Terrence Travis and Geinda Smith, who finished with 87 yards. Travis also complete 5-of-six passes for 49 yards.

Giles, who tallied 178 yards on the ground, was led by Brad Kessinger's 90 yards.
