Kaleb Bohrnstedt scored a game-high 21 points to help lead Blacksburg to a 55-43 non-district boys' basketball win over Brookville Thursday in the second day of the Northside Invitational Tournament in Roanoke.
The Bees (1-5) would buzz out to a slim 14-13 lead after the opening quarter. The Bruins (5-4) outscored the Bees 16-11 in the second quarter to take a 29-25 halftime lead. Blacksburg continued to have the upper-hand in the second quarter, outscoring Brookville 11-10 in the third quarter and 15-8 in the final quarter to claim the 12-point victory.
Michael Ayares added 12 points for Blacksburg.
