In a see-saw battle, Blacksburg outlasted Salem 61-52 in a River Ridge District boys' basketball game Friday night in Blacksburg.

The Spartans (11-6, 3-3 RRD) staked out to an 11-9 lead after the initial quarter. The Bruins (7-12, 2-5 RRD) came back in the second quarter to tie the game at 23-23 at the half. Blacksburg methodically pulled away in the second half to earn the nine-point victory.

Troy Mann led Salem with a game-high 15 point and Will Pratt finished with 12 points.

Kaleb Bohrnstedt led Blacksburg with 14 points and Destiny Etuk contributed 10 points.
