After a sluggish start, Cave Spring turned up the pressure, to claim a 72-54 non-district boy's basketball win over Northside Wednesday night in southwest Roanoke County.

The Vikings (1-2) staked out to a 20-16 lead after the opening quarter. The Knights (4-1) outscored their visitors 25-10 in the second quarter to take a 41-30 halftime lead. Cave Spring continued to dominate over the final two quarters in claiming the 18-point victory.

Jarrien Hairston paced Northside with 14 points and Will Holladay added 11 points

Amin Abuhawwas led Cave Spring with a game-high 21 points and Aaron Cupp tallied 16 points
