Cave Spring used a strong second and third quarter to upend Radford, 61-50, in non-district boys' basketball action Wednesday night in southwest Roanoke County.
The Bobcats (2-2) jumped out to a 12-6 lead after the opening quarter. The Knights (6-2) went on a 6-0 spurt late in the second quarter to turn a four-point deficit into a slim 26-24 halftime lead. Cave Spring started the third quarter with a 12-0 run and by the time the quarter ended, they had extended its advantage to 48-35. In the final quarter, the Knights continued to control the tempo, as they claimed the 11-point victory.
Josh Little led Radford with 21 points.
Amin Abuhawwas paced Cave Spring with 21 points. Ryan Gladfelter tallied 11 points and Harrison Richards pulled down 10 rebounds.
