John Evan buried a three-pointer with eight seconds left in the game to help propel Cave Spring to a 61-58 River Ridge District boys' basketball win over Christiansburg Friday night in Roanoke.

The Knights (11-10, 4-5 RRD) rode out to a 28-24 halftime lead. The Blue Demons (18-2, 8-1) battled back in the third quarter to take a 43-38 advantage into the fourth quarter. It was back and forth in the final quarter. With the game knotted at 58-58, Evans would hit the game-winning 3-pointer to give Cave Spring the stunning three-point win.

Brenden Motley led Christiansburg with 15 points, Zach Davis scored 14 points and Joey Augustine finished with 11 points.

Amin Abuhawwas paced Cave Spring with a game-high 21 points and 10 rebounds. Ryan Gladfelter tossed in 11 points and Connor Baker added 10 points.
