Christiansburg's Morgan Signs With Ferrum

jlf 120201 motleymorgan 01RESSurrounded by family, friends and coaches, Christiansburg's Tyler Morgan signed a Letter of Intent Wednesday morning to continue his football career at Ferrum College.

Morgan, who was the Blue Demon's punter this season, recorded 31 punts for 1,151 yards to give him a 37.1 average. He also placed several punts inside the opponent's 10-yard line this past season.

Ferrum, a Divison III school, finished 7-3 overall under first-year Head Coach Dave Harper in 2011.  The Panthers closed the season with a USA South runner-up finish at 6-1 in league play.
