Christiansburg landed three players in double-figures, as the Blue Demons ran away with a 54-40 River Ridge District girls' basketball win over visiting Cave Spring Friday night.

The Knights (1-20, 1-8 RRD) took a slim 10 lead after the opening quarter. The Blue Demons (13-8, 3-6 RRD) came back to take a narrow 23-20 halftime lead. Christiansburg continued to hold the upper-and over the final two quarters to claim the 14-point victory.

Cassi Paroulis and Courtney Stover paced Cave Spring with 10 points apiece.

Nikki Burks led Christiansburg with a game-high 18 points, 10 rebounds, six steals and five assists. Randi Lacy scored 12 points and Shannon Stuart added 10 points.
