Lauria Hurls One-Hitter As Hidden Valley Beats Blacksburg

Hidden-Valley-LogoHidden Valley ace Ryan Lauria pitched a one hitter, striking out seven in the complete game victory, as the Titans claimed a 10-0 River Ridge District baseball win over Blacksburg Tuesday in Roanoke. The game was called after five innings due to the sluaghter rule.

 

The Titans (5-3-1. 1-0 RRD) broke open the game in the second inning. With one out, HV got two opposite field bloop hits followed by two walks. A string of hits with a few BHS fielding miscues and a pair of  two-out run scoring hits allowed HV to jump out to a 7-0 lead
John Hamborsky's fourth inning single was the only Bruin (5-7, 0-1 RRD) hit.

Jack Moore led the Titans with two hits and three RBIs.
