The Titans held off a late fourth quarter rally by the Cavaliers, as they claimed a 42-37 non-district girls basketball win Monday night in Daleville.
Hidden Valley (7-4) raced out to a 9-4 lead after the intial quarter and increased their advantage to 20-10 at the break. The Titans would continue to control the tempo in the third quarter, as they took a 31-19 lead into the fourth quarter. Lord Botetourt (6-10) would battle back in the final quarter, as they eventually pulled to within four points. However, Hidden Valley would connect on its free throws down the stretch, as they hung for the 42-37 victory.
Tyler Evans led Hidden Valley with a game-high 14 points.
Amanda Farmer paced Lord Botetourt with 11 points.
