The Titans would hit their foul shots down the stretch, as they outlasted the Cougars, 52-48, in a River Ridge District girls basketball battle Monday night in Dublin.
Hidden Valley (14-5, 7-1 RRD) would take a 12-7 lead after the opening quarter. Pulaski County (9-12, 4-5 RRD) would outscore their guests 14-7 in the second half to take a slim 21-19 halftime advantage. Both teams would knock down 12 points apiece in the third quarter, as the Cougars headed into the pivotal fourth quarter with a 33-31 lead. The Titans would outscore Pulaski County 21-15 in the final quarter. The big differnce being, Hidden Valley would connect on 8-of-11 foul shots, while Pulaski County was a mere 1-for-6 at the charity stripe in the fourth quarter, as the Titans claimed the 52-48 road win.
Tyler Evans led Hidden Valley with 12 points, while Kayla Osborne and Lindsey Divers finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Raiven Patterson led Pulaski County with a game-high 16 points and Sydney Anderson added nine points.
