Kristin Harter of Hidden Valley won the Region IV girls singles title in straight-sets, and then teamed up with Ceyda Durmaz, to claim the doubles crown Wednesday afternoon at Hidden Valley High School in Roanoke.

Harter, the defending regional and state champion, easily dispatched Martinsville's Hillary Mazurek, 6-0, 6-0 in the singles championship.

In the doubles championship, Harter and Durmaz dismissed Richland's Junetta Nuchols and Chelsea Asbury, 6-0, 6-1.

Both Harter and Durmaz qualified for next week's state tournament at Radford University.
