Sarah Moomau of John Handley claimed her first Group AA Girls Tennis State Crown with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Hidden Valley’s Kristin Harter, the defending state champion,  Thursday afternoon at Radford University as part of the 2010 Spring Jubilee.

"I know she's [Harter] really good at hard consistent deep balls, so I tried to take her out of her comfort zone," said Moomau. "One of my strengths has been making un-forced mistakes and that worked today."
 
Harter, the 2009 State Champion, defeated Bruton’ Helen Mittmann 6-0, 6-3 in Thursday morning’s other semifinal match.
