Hidden Valley jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, as the Titans cruised to a 70-50 River Ridge District girls' basketball win over Christiansburg Friday night in Roanoke.
The Titans (14-5, 6-1 RRD) took a narrow 16-13 lead after the initial quarter. They continued to pull away in the second quarter to take a 32-23 halftime advantage. Hidden Valley continued to have the upper-hand in the second half, outscoring the Blue Demons (12-7, 2-5 RRD) 21-14 in the third quarter and 17-12 in the fourth quarter to earn the 20-point home win.
Nikki Burks led Christiansburg with 18 points.
Tyler Evans led Hidden Valley with a game-high 30 points. Kelsey Crotty tossed in 14 points, while Gracie Whiteside and Ashleigh Torres finished with 10 points apiece.
