Fresh off their 65-63 overtime win against Bassett the previous night, Hidden Valley pulled off another shocker, as the Titans upended No. 1 seed Carroll County in the semifinals of the Region IV, Div. 4 boys' basketball tournament Wednesday night in Roanoke County.
Hidden Valley (14-12) meets Christiansburg (24-2) at 7 p.m. Friday night in the championship game at Hidden Valley.
The Titans, who led 28-21 at the half, continued to hold the upper-hand in the second half, as they claimed the 16-point win at home.
The Cavaliers was 1-for-3 at the foul line, while the Titans were 12-of-14.
Conner Lundy led Carroll County with 17 points and Ryan Gravely contributed 10 points.
Malik Williams led Hidden Valley with a game-high 19 points, including four 3-pointers, while Austin Beecher tossed in 17 points and Dylan Hodson scored 14 points.
