Pulaski County's Heath White made the game-winning tackle in overtime on a two-point conversion play to help the Cougars escape Roanoke with a 21-20 non-district football win over Northside Friday night.
With the game tied at 14-14 at the end of regulation, the Cougars (2-0) scored on their first possession on an 11 yard pass from Marcus Johnson to Marcus McClanahan and Shane Chrisley's PAT made it 21-20.
The Vikings (2-0) responded on its possession when Jeremy Williams scored from the 1-yard line. Northside then called a timeout. Going for the win, Northside quarterback Dominic Dunnaville was taken down in the backfield by White, thus preserving the Cougar victory.
Pulaski County took a 14-0 lead, before Northside came back to tie the game and send it to OT.
Pulaski County tallied 271 yards of total offense.
Northside recorded 277 yards of total offense.
