Pulaski County used a strong fourth quarter to turn a three-point deficit into a 63-56 non-district boys basketball win over host Gate City Tuesday night.
The Cougars (2-4) raced out to a an early 11-8 first quarter lead. Gate City outscored Pulaski 18-13 in the second quarter to take a 26-24 halftime lead. The Blue Devils would maintain their advantage throughout the third quarter, as they headed into the fourth quarter with a 39-36 lead. Pulaski County would scortch the nets in the final quarter, as they outscored Gate City 27-17, to pull away for the 63-56 victory.
Matt Greene led Pulaski County with a game-high 21 points and Oliver Samples contributed 17 points.
