The Cougars opened up River Ridge District play with an easy 65-33 win over the winless Knights in girls basketball action Wednesday night in Roanoke.
Cave Spring (0-11, 0-1 RRD) would take a 13-11 lead after the opening quarter. However, the rest of the game was all Pulaski County (5-7, 1-0 RRD). The Cougars would take control in the second quarter, as they outscored the Knights 15-4, to take a 26-17 halftime advantage. Any hopes of Cave Spring rally would be put to rest in the third quarter, as Pulaski County outscored its hosts 23-9 to take a commanding 49-26 lead into the fourth quarter. The Cougars would continue to dominate, as they claimed the 65-33 victory.
Kasey Holcomb led Pulaski County with 11 points and Raiven Patterson tossed in 10 points.
Tori Doyle paced Cave Spring with 11 points.
