The Lady Cougars placed four players in double-digit scoring, as they cruised to a 70-35 River Ridge District basketball win over the Blue Demons Tuesday night in Christiansburg.
Pulaski County (9-10, 4-3 RRD) raced out to a 20-4 lead after the opening quarter. Christiansburg (2-15, 0-6 RRD) would finally find their shooting touch in the second quarter. However, they still trailed 43-24 at the half.
The Cougars would outscore the Blue Demons 15-7 in the third quarter, as they ran out to a commanding 58-31 advantage. Pulaski County would continue to pull away in the final quarter, as they claimed the 70-35 road victory.
Hannah Chaffin led Pulaski County with a game-high 14 points. Daisy Ball tossed in 13 points, Kasey Holcomb added 11 points and Sydney Anderson finished with 10 points.
Karli Peters led Christiansburg with 13 points.
