The Cougars raced out to an early lead and never looked back, as they cruised to a 45-28 win in the opening round of the River Ridge District girls basketball tournament Monday night in Dublin.
The Cougars would take a 16-4 lead after the opening quarter and increased their advantage to 25-13 at the break, Both teams would scoere 10 points in the third quarter. as Pulaski County headed into the final quarter with a 35-23 lead. The Cougars would continue to keep the Knights (2-19) at bay, as Pulaski County advanced to tonight's semis with the 45-28 victory.
Tori Doyle and Elizabeth Young led Cave Spring with seven points each.
Raiven Patterson and Sydney Anderson led Pulaski County with 10 points each.
