Pulaski Claims JV Baseball Win Over Giles

Pulaski-Cougars-LogoThe Pulaski County JV baseball team played its first game at home on Wednesday and treated the home town crowd to a win in a close ball game over the Giles Spartans by a score of 6-4. 

Alex Marshall pitched six strong innings with six strike outs while giving up six hits and two walks, as the Cougar defense committed one error.  Adam Allen closed out the game on the mound recording all three outs with two strike outs and a fielding play a bunt attempt to end the game.

The Cougar bats were not as sharp, as three Giles pitchers combined for ten strike outs and allowing
just five hits to the Cougars. Giles committed five errors that allowed the Pulaski batters to reach base and generate scoring opportunities for the Cougars.

Adam Allen reached base four times and scored three times for Pulaski County.

The JV Cougars next game is away at George Wythe this Friday, game time is 5:15 p.m.
