Hannah Chaffin buried the game-winning shot with 7 seconds to play, as she help lift Pulaski County to a 49-48 non-district girls' basketball win over Carroll County Wednesday nigh in Hillsville.

With the scored knotted at 24-all at the half, the Cavaliers (11-4) managed to pull out to a slim 39-38 lead after three quarters of action. It was back-and-forth in the final quarter before Chaffin hit the game-winning shot to allow the Cougars (8-6) to escape with the one-point win.

Hannah Chaffin led Pulaski County with 14 points and Sydney Anderson scored 11 points.

Lindsay Martin led Carroll County with a game-high 22 points.
