Sydney Anderson recorded a triple-triple, as she helped lead Pulaski County to a 50-43 River Ridge District girls' basketball win over host Blacksburg Friday night.
The Cougars (12-9, 6-3 RRD) jumped out to an 18-9 lead after the initial quarter. Pulaski extended its advantage to 24-17 at the half. The Bruins (2-18, 1-8 RRD) stayed within striking distance in the second half. However, they could not overcome the early deficit, as the Cougars headed home with the seven-point win.
Anderson led Pulaski County with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists.
Mary Kate Dodge paced Blacksburg with 16 points and Jordan Ballein scored 13 points.
