Salem’s Tay Taylor was named the Player of the Year, while D. Harrell of Salem and Blacksburg’s Roger Henderson was selected the co-Coached of the Year on the 2012-13 All River Ridge District Girls’ Basketball team.

Cave Spring's Connor Baker and Hidden Valley's Jake Kite were named the offensive and defensive Player of the Year, respectfully, on the 2012 All-River Ridge District Football team.

Hidden Valley swept the top honors on the 2012 All-River Ridge District football team, as Caroline Booth and Carla Poff were named the Player and Coach of the Year, respectively.

Blacksburg swept the Region IV boys and girls cross country titles this afternoon (Friday) at Sugar Hollow Park in Bristol, as the River Ridge District claimed the top four spots.

Blacksburg's Ben Fraley was named the Player of the Year, while Jason Taylor was selected the Coach of the Year on the 2012 All-River Ridge District Baseball Team.

Salem's Amanda Dalton and Emily Taylor were named the 2012 All-River Ridge District Player and Pitcher of the Year, respectively. Hidden Valley's Brett Newman was selected as the Coach of the Year.

Blacksburg's Michael Mecham and Shelley Blumenthal were honored by being named the Player and Coach of the Year, respectively, on the 2012 All-River Ridge District Boys Soccer Team.

Blacksburg's Adrian Newcomb and Travis Eschenmann were named the 2012 All-River Ridge District Girls Soccer Team Player and Coach of the Year, respectively.

It will be a River Ridge District showdown for the Region IV boys' singles and doubles title, as Blacksburg's Will Coffey and Cave Spring's David Dodson both won their semifinal matches on Wednesday at the Virginia Tech Tennis Pavilion. The Bruins doubles team will also meet Hidden Valley for the crown.
