Caryle Garst led Salem with a game-high 18 points, including six 3-pointers, as the Spartans rolled to a 61-31 non-district girl's basketball win over William Byrd Thursday night in Salem.

The Spartans (4-1) jumped out to a 32-13 halftime advantage and continued to control the tempo the rest of the way in claiming the 30-point win.

Kamera Hagins and Alexis Ratliff paced William Byrd (2-5) with 12 points apiece.

Tay Taylor contributed 16 points for Salem.
