Salem placed four players in double-figures, as the Spartans claimed a 68-50 River Ridge District girls' basketball win over host Christiansburg Friday night.
The Spartans (9-5, 3-0 RRD) took a 13-12 lead after the opening quarter and increased their advantage to 37-27 at the break. Salem continued to hold the upper-hand in the second half in claiming the 18-point road win.
Tay Taylor led Salem with a game-high 15 points. Maddie Price had 14 points, Carlye Garst scored 13 points and Kim Miglarese added 11 points.
Meghan McFee paced Christiansburg with 12 points.
