Adam Crotts hurled a three-hitter and struck out 14 batters, as Carroll County scored a run in the bottom of the sixth inning, to claim a 3-2 win over Tazewell in the semifinals of the Southwest District baseball tournament Tuesday in Hillsville.

The Cavaliers will face the winner of the Grundy/Abingdon game in the championship game Thursday in Abingdon.

With the scored tied at 2-all, Jared Cox would bring in the winning run on a single in the bottom of the sixth for the Cavaliers (16-5).

Zach Wasileswski led Tazewell with a pair of solo home runs.
