Carroll County used a strong second quarter to pull away with a 55-34 non-district girls' basketball win over Radford Thursday night in Hillsville.
The Bobcats (7-15) took a slim 12-11 lead after the first quarter. The Cavaliers (17-4) went on a 23-8 run in the second quarter to take a 34-20 halftime advantage. Carroll County outscored Radford 17-7 in the third quarter to take a 51-27 lead into the final quarter. The Cavs continued to control the game in the fourth quarter, as they claimed the 21- point win.
Megan Mitchell led Radford with nine points.
Lindsay Martin led Carroll County with a game-high 20 points.
