The Auburn High School Girls Basketball Team will be holding a golf tournament at the Meadows Golf Course in Christiansburg on August 21 to help raise money for their trip to Disney World. 

There will be a parent-player organizational meeting for the Eastern Montgomery High School football program on Wednesday, July 14, starting at 6 p.m. in the school's auditorium.

Eastern Montgomery and Radford High Schools, both members of the Three Rivers District, were just two of the 20 high schools that have been awarded the 2010 Claudia Dodson VHSL Sportsmanship, Ethics and Integrity Award presented by Wachovia, which recognizes member schools that have established policies and procedures that make sportsmanship a priority and an expectation within the school and school community.

In a rematch of last year’s title match, George Mason scored a goal in each half and edged Radford, 2-1, to capture its second straight Group A Boys Soccer State Championship Sunday morning at Radford University as part of the 2010 Spring Jubilee.

Radford netted two goals in the first half and added another in the second to down Northampton 3-0 in the second semifinal of the A Boys Soccer State Tournament at Radford University as part of the 2010 Spring Jubilee Friday afternoon.
