Giles used the arm and bat of Dylan Raymond to claim an 11-8 Three Rivers District baseball win over Auburn Tuesday afternoon in Riner.
With the game tied at 8-8 after five innings, Giles would score twice in the sixth and once in the seventh to pull out the 11-8 victory.
Raymond hurled 2 1/3 innings of scoreless ball in relief to get the win for the Spartans (10-3, 3-1 TRD). He also went 2-for-3 with a two-run homerand three RBIs. Josh Doffin was 3-for-3 with two RBIs, while Lucas Stevens added two-run homer in the second inning.
Adam Martin led the Eagles (6-7, 1-3 TRD) with a 1-for-1 showing, including four RBIs, a sacrifice fly in second and a three-run double in the third. Caleb Link was 1-for-2 with a solo homer in the first inning and Erik Gaynor was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
