Head coach Jack Tuner's debut didn't start off the way he would had liked, as Craig County defeated Auburn 17-0 to extend the Eagles losing streak to 30 Friday night in non-district football action in New Castle.
The Rockets (1-0) took a 7-0 lead in the opening quarter on a 12-yard run by Josh Gunter and tacked on another one in the second quarter on a 1-yard plunge by Matt Bryant to make it 14-0 at the half. Craig County added a 36-yard field goal by Jefferson Lee in the fourth quarter to make the final 17-0.
Auburn, who had 204 yards of total offense, was led by Gabe Spencer's 74 yards. Dustin Simpkins added 47 yards.
Craig County (1-0) tallied 161 yards of offense.
