Olivia Cleary had the hot bat and arm, as she helped lead the Eagles to a 10-0 win over the Maroons in a non-district,season-opener softball win Monday evening in Riner.
Cleary not only picked up the win from inside the circle by tossing a shutout, while allowing just three hits and striking out seven batters. She also went 3-for-4 at the plate a drove in a pair of runs for Auburn (1-0).
Sarah Smith also had a 3-for-4 effort, including a triple and an RBI, while Holly Saul tallied two doubles and a pair of RBIs for Auburn.
