Olivia Cleary twirled a no-hitter, as Auburn blanked Eastern Montgomery, 6-0, in the opening round of the Three Rivers District softball tournament Tuesday evening in Riner.
Cleary walked none and fanned nine batters in picking up the win for Auburn (14-7).
Sarah Smith led the Eagles with one hit and two RBIs.
Amber Yerg, who struck out six batters, was tagged with the loss inside the circle.
Auburn meets Glenvar in the semifinals at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Harkrader Sports Complex in Christiansburg.
