Jocelyn Monday and Brooke Bostwick both recorded double-doubles, as Auburn held on for a 61-54 Three Rivers District girls' basketball win over Eastern Montgomery Friday night in Riner.
The Eagles (8-12, 2-8 TRD) staked out to a 19-14 lead after the opening quarter. Both teams scored 11 points apiece, as Auburn headed into the locker room with a 30-25 halftime lead. The Eagles maintained their advantage in the second half, as they escaped with seven-point win.
Dakota Shepherd paced East Mont (2-19, 0-10 TRD) with 14 points and Danielle Simpkins scored 11 points.
Monday led Auburn with a game-high15 points and 10 rebounds. Bostwick contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Kimberly Smith finished with 13 points.
