Auburn scored in every inning, as they pounded Eastern Montgomery, 18-4, in a Three Rivers District baseball game played Thursday evening in Elliston. The game was called after five innings due to the slaughter rule.
Dalton Altizer drove in a run in every inning for the Eagles (an RBI-double in the first, sacrifice fly in the second, RBI-ground out in the third, and bases loaded walks in both the fourth and fifth innings.) Derrick Duncan and Ian Lipsey added two hits each.
Jacob Underwood improved to 4-0 with four solid innings of work on the mound for Auburn (7-1, 1-1 TRD).
Brian Deare went 2-for-3 with a run and a stolen base for Eastern Montgomery (0-8, 0-2 TRD).
