Bland County placed three players in double-figures, as the Bears claimed a 65-57 non-district boy's basketball win over Eastern Montgomery Tuesday night in Elliston.
The Mustangs (2-5), who led 28-22 at the break, saw the Bears (4-2) go on a 23-14 run in the third quarter to pull out to a slim 45-42 advantage going into the fourth quarter. Bland County outscored East Mont 20-15 in the final quarter to head home with the eight-point win.
Asher Dillow led Bland County with a game-high 26 points, including a trio of 3-pointers. Chase Hankins posted 18 points and Darryle Clark finished with 13.
James Fields led East Mont with 10 points, including two 3-pointers. John Schrader, Kendall Sission and Hunter Westmoreland all finished with nine points apiece.
