Eastern Montgomery placed three players in double-figures, as the Mustangs galloped to a 62-46 non-district boys' basketball win over Craig County Wednesday night in Elliston.
The Mustangs (3-7) ran out to an 18-13 first quarter lead and extended its advantage to 36-24 at the half. East Mont outscored the Rockets (1-7) 14-8 in the third quarter to up its lead to 50-32 going into the fourth quarter. The Mustangs continued to have the upper-hand in the final eight minutes to earn their third win of the season by a 16-point margin.
Andy McCarty led Craig County with a game-high 22 points.
J.T. Shrader led East Mont with 17 points, including four 3-pointers. Daniel Akers chipped in with 12 points and Kendall Sisson added 11 points.
