Kelsey Weddle twirled a one-hitter, plus smacked a two-run homer, as Patrick Henry-Glade Spring upset Floyd County, 2-0, in the opening round of the Region C softball tournament Tuesday evening in Floyd.

With the score knotted at 0-0 going into the top of the sixth inning, Weddle would send a 1-0 pitch over the left-center fence to put the Rebels up 2-0.

Weddle also picked up the win inside the circle. She gave up no runs on one hit, striking out 10.

PH-Glade Spring ended the game by setting down the last 18 batters in-a-row.
