Floyd County opened up its 2010 golf season Monday with a one-stroke victory over Patrick County in non-district action at the par-72 Great Oaks Country Club in Floyd.

The Buffaloes finished with a team score of 329, while the Cougars shot a 330.

Amanda Hollandsworth took medalist honors with a round of 75.
