Dorian Harris ran for a career-high 286 yards and scored three touchdowns, as he helped lead Floyd County to a 48-19 non-district football win Friday night in Floyd.
The Buffaloes (2-1) took a 7-0 lead in the opening quarter on a 53-yard run by Harris.
The Cougars (0-3) would come back in the second quarter and tie the game on a 9-yard scamper by Jalen Reynolds. A 39-yard run by Harris would give Floyd a 13-7 lead. Patrick County answered with a 47-yard pass from Jacob Reynolds to J. Wright to tie the game again at 13-13. A 75-yard gallop by Harris would give the Buffaloes a 19-13 lead at the half.
A 1-yard run by Matt Hollandsworth, along with a two-point conversion pass from Hollandsworth to Harris would give Floyd County a 34-13 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.
Patrick County would strike first in the fourth quarter on a 13-yard pass from Jacob Reynolds to J. Wright to make the score 34-19. A 34-yard and 4-yard run by Harris to close out the quarter, would make the final 48-19, Buffaloes.
Jacob Reynolds threw for 112 yards and two TDs, and ran for another 73 yards to lead Patrick County.
