Floyd County held Auburn to single- digits in every quarter, as the Buffaloes ran away with a lopsided 98-21 Three Rivers District girls' basketball win Friday night in Floyd.
The Buffs (15-1, 4-0 TRD) staked out to a 29-6 advantage after the initial quarter and increased their lead to 53-10 at the half. Floyd County continued to dominate the second half, outscoring the Eagles 45-11, to claim the 77-point win.
Brooke Bostwick paced Auburn with eight points.
Emily Boothe led Floyd County with a game-high 17 points, six assists and three steals. Krista Cox had 12 points, and Amanda Hollandsworth added 10 points and six rebounds.
